One of my favorite videos from Eddie Pinero involves a father talking with his daughter who has become frustrated with her circumstances. The father uses the dropping of a potato, an egg and a coffee bean into boiling water as a metaphor for asking her what she will become during times of adversity?

Handle Hard Better - Kara Lawson, Duke Women's Basketball Coach

Life is hard and only gets harder. That's the message from Duke's Women's Basketball coach Kara Lawson. She goes on to explain that her job isn't to make things easier for her team but to teach them how to "handle hard" better. She believes this will not only serve them as athletes but also in their personal and professional lives. I agree!
